Tonga Weather

Tonga weather is tropical, although it is noticeably milder than Fiji or Samoa. Vava'u, being further north than Tongatapu is warmer. Overall, temperatures between November and April (summer) are slightly higher than the winter months, as is the humidity and the resulting tropical downpours. There are no high islands in Tonga so rainfall is generally less than Fiji, Samoa or the Cook Islands. Light cotton clothes are advisable at all times - between May and October (winter) a light sweater will needed for the cool nights and early mornings.
